Shotokan Karate Jitsu Academy

Mrs. Graven-Eells began training at the request of her husband Chuck. Soon she fell in love with her training. Maureen has a BA in Special Education form LaSalle University. She was searching for a physical and mental activity. Maureen began training under Sensei Ron Romano. While training she became pregnant with the first of her four children. She was unable to test for Shodan until November of 1989.She was awarded Nidan in June of 1991. In 1997 she was awarded her Sandan. On May31st, 2002 she earned the rank of Yondan.

Maureen started a Special Needs Karate Program in Evesham Twp in the fall of 1995. To date, she has over 30 students which she teaches once a week. She is also Fitness director and program coordinator for Shotokan Karate Jitsu at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Cherry Hill. She is married to Chuck Eells and has four children.
