Al Frattali

Mr. Frattali began his training in 1996 at Club Shotokan in South Jersey. During Al's youth he was blessed with a long athletic career. While attending Bishop Newmann HS in Phila. he lettered in Football and played on several intramural sports teams. After graduation he continued to employ his athletic talents in numerous city leagues, some of which were baseball, ice hockey and football. From 1984 to 1995 Mr. Frattali shared his athletic ability by voluntarily coaching various children's leagues in Washington Twp. In 1999 he received his Shodan under Salvatore Lopresti Sensei. Immediately after he entered into his instructor-training program, which he continues currently. In May of 2002, Al earned his Nidan or second degree black belt. He also volunteers time to teaching karate to children with special needs in Marton, NJ. Al is also a graduate of the Long Island University Instructor Training Program. Mr. Frattali has been involved in and supports many charitable organizations including the St. Francis Inn Shelter for the Homeless, Philadelphia Special Olympics, UNICO, and Katherine's Day School for children with Down Syndrome. Al lives in Washington Twp. with his wife Sandy and two children.
