Gary DeVicci began his training under Sensei Leslie Safar in 1973. He was awarded his Shodan in 1983 and attained the rank of Nidan in 1985 and awarded Sandan in 2008. The requirements of his business and raising a family took Gary away from his training for 16 years prior to his return at the end of 2004. During his absence, Gary remained active, competing in over twenty triathlons. Today, Gary is an owner of a financial services firm in Voorhees, NJ, where he also lives with his wife Chris, and daughters Amanda and Nicole.
